Principal Activities
Through our affiliation with JMH Capital Partners (www.jmhcapital.com), we actively seek to invest in restructuring, turnaround and other distressed and special situations. We target investments in lower middle market companies including:
- Private equity portfolio companies where the sponsor is unable to support the company by writing the “third check”, but remains committed to the investment thesis
- Operating companies experiencing cash flow deterioration caused by a cyclical downturn, as opposed to structural industry changes
- “Good” companies with weak balance sheets or other capital structure impairments
- Companies hampered by past strategic errors that are identifiable and solvable in the near-term – “4 Wall Problems”, as opposed to systemic business model issues.
We recognize the importance of expediency and certainty in these types of transactions and with our extensive experience as investors in special situations, we are able to move quickly and decisively to expressions of interest and closings.
